Made from solid brass and patterned after those found in best English gun cases dating from 1800 through 1940. Absolutely indistinguishable from the originals. During the 1800's this jag would have been wrapped with tow (rope fibers) in an amount suitable for the size bore you were cleaning and the tow discarded after use. Today you would cut off a suitable length of cloth from our cotton cloth roll and make a mop of the proper diameter. Threads are 5/16"- 27 T.P.I. to fit our cleaning rods and pull throughs. Now you'll never get caught in the field again without the proper size mop. Pack it out in the field with you along with a cleaning rod in our suede pouch.
