Joseph Harkom and Son, Edinburgh, fine 9-bore double barrel percussion fowler made for the well known eccentric collector, Charles Gordon, ca. 1890. Weight: 10 lbs. 14 1/2" LOP. Beautiful 34" Damascus steel barrels with absolutely mint bores and all the original brown finish. All the original hardening colors remain all the original brilliant black finish remains on the mounts with the exception of some flaking on the butt plate. Even most of the original fire blue remains on the nipples. One tiny isolated area of light rust on the right barrel otherwise remaining in pristine, original, unfired condition throughout. Original heavy oak case with all the many original accessories including a separate heavy duty loading rod and a spare ramrod. Absolutely beautiful set.
